Need a place to stay in
Seward? |
If you want a fine boat with the best equipment
(poles, electronics, accommodations), a good captain and a fine fisherman,
then Glaciers Edge is the best you can do in Seward. I have gone out
more than 5 consecutive years with Glacier’s Edge and we have
had a great time every year and have brought back a nice hold full of
fish. Our group has been fishing together for close to 45 years. We have tried many different venues; fly-in trips to remote areas, self guided portage trips, and all inclusive trips (food, guides, lodging, etc.) at fishing lodges. About 12 years ago we were lucky enough to stumble on Glaciers Edge Fishing Charters – and in particular Cliff and Barb Young. We have been back for a week every year since then. The fishing has always been great and we have never met a skipper who works harder to provide an enjoyable fishing experience. Barb is a gem who provides all the hospitality and finishing touches that make our stay at the cabins one that we anticipate coming back to every year. The Melinda Rose is a very clean, comfortable and roomy boat to fish from. The cabin facilities and grounds are immaculate. There is nothing like relaxing next to the pond after a hard day on the ocean with a glass of wine, enjoying fresh caught salmon cooked over an open fire, and basking in the ambience of Alaska. He has one of Alaska's top guide services. His boat and fishing equipment is the best in Seward, and we have caught record halibuts of over 200 lb on his boat. Their safety standards are absolutely first-rate, and nobody works harder to find the fish. Mary Ann Hollick |
